Zermatt
Zermatt epitomizes most people’s image of Switzerland: high-alpine, historic and original. Almost one-third of the 4,000-metre Mountains in the Alps are grouped around this word-famous health resort, which has been visited by mountaineers from all around the world since the first successful ascent of the Matterhorn in 1865.

The air in Zermatt is clear, dry and clean; since 1947, only electric vehicles are allowed to operate in the village. All cars and transfer buses park up in Tasch where we get on the train to Zermatt. There are regular rail links from Geneva, Zurich etc. – what a way to get to resort!

This seal is awarded to resorts and holiday destinations that specifically target their offerings to meet the needs and wishes of children and their families. The destination Zermatt – Matterhorn had to meet the strict criteria set by the Swiss Tourism Federation. These requirements consist of the following areas: infrastructure, experiences in summer and winter, services offered, and service in general.
